On May 13 and 14, 2024, all 7th grade students from Bilter and Bilter 2 Middle Schools will participate in a P5 Local Wisdom activity with the theme “Tracing the Footsteps of the Majapahit Kingdom.” This activity will take place at several historical locations that preserve local wisdom, namely Trowulan Museum, Bajang Ratu Temple, Tikus Temple, and Troloyo Cemetery. The goal of this activity is to foster a critical attitude in appreciating local wisdom and to encourage creativity in efforts to preserve it.
At Trowulan Museum, students will learn about the relics of the Majapahit Kingdom, which are rich in historical value. At Bajang Ratu Temple and Tikus Temple, they will directly witness the beauty of architecture and carving arts from the past. Meanwhile, at Troloyo Cemetery, students will gain insights into important figures in Majapahit history. By visiting these historical sites, students are expected to understand the importance of preserving and maintaining the existing cultural heritage.
